Putting a small piece of forgotten, outdated furniture from our grandmothers’ era back into the heart of a contemporary living room was the challenge that we set Label Famille, a group of young Parisian designers, during a meeting at the VIA (Valorisation de l'Innovation dans l'Ameublement/Promotion of Innovation in Furniture). From this meeting Tchin was born. This piece was exhibited at the Institut Français during the Milan Furniture Fair thanks to the VIA.

Déborah Janssens, a social designer, worked on the round shape conducive to a convivial moment, Philippine Klahr, a color designer, worked on the different colors of granito for the upper tray that we produce in our workshop and Camille Zonca, an object designer who leads Label Famille, coordinated the ideas to present Tchin.

Tchin, a burlesque and contemporary looking liquor cabinet to display, consume and conceal liquor carafes.

Two backlit trays are superimposed to form the object and highlight the liquors. Tchin hides them behind a curtain of translucent tubes, creating a play of transparencies and colors. During a tasting, choosing a bottle sets the tubular curtain in motion, creating an atmosphere with a slight chime. Inside a hotel room or next to a fringed easy chair, Tchin stimulates our sense of taste, sight and sound. A precious art deco touch for a chic and elegant living room.
